The Youth Group just returned from Pittsburgh on July 26th.  Through the Pittsburgh Project, we worked on houses for people who are unable to afford or who are physically incapable of doing renovations on their house.  Along with Youngstown Presbyterian we were able to help out at three different homes all for people whose health problems made it impossible to maintain their houses.  We did things such as scraping off and then reapplying paint, landscaping, and tearing down an old fence.  The Project also organized many fun activities at night after everyone returned from their work sites.  Whether it was singing or watching skits performed by the staff, we all were able to relax and meet all the other churches that were there.  All in all the trip was successful.  I met a lot of great people and I also saw another side of America that I do not normally see.   I now really appreciate my good health and my supportive community and family and realize they have done so much for me.  It gave me a real sense of accomplishment to know I was helping out and having fun doing it.
