Kristen Bradfield's personal story

While I was at the Pittsburgh Project, I learned that some people couldn't take care of their homes on their own.  I also learned that using teamwork to help another at their house helps get the job done, quicker, better, and makes the homeowner feel loved.  Some of the homeowners are very lonely and some are poor.  I felt happy that I was able to help two of these types of homeowners.  Another thing I did at the Pittsburgh Project was to be in the clubroom and hear about God.  We sang songs and we prayed.  I met a couple kids from Virginia that I liked hanging out with.  I liked the Pittsburgh Project and I would like to do it again sometime.  I felt like I was making others feel happy and that I brightened up their day.  I was also glad that for once everything wasn't about me and that it was about helping out people in a different community far from home.  I hope to do the Pittsburgh Project again because it made me feel good inside.  I would recommend Mission Trips like this for other senior high kids because they can make a good difference in someone's life and feel great about it at the same time.
