Our Sunday School Program

At Riverside, our Sunday school meets during our 11:00AM worship service each Sunday from September through May.  Children first attend our worship service with their family and then go to their Sunday school classes after the children's sermon.  On the first Sunday of each month when communion is served, children in 3rd grade and up stay with their families through our 
worship service.  Nursery care is provided for those children who need it 
every Sunday twelve months a year at our 11AM service only.

In our Sunday school program, children are divided into age and grade appropriate classes.  Children of Pre-K and Kindergarten age meet in the nursery.  There is also nursery care provided for children under the Pre-K 
and Kindergarten age group.   Our 1st and 2nd graders meet in the Upper 
room (located upstairs) and our 3rd through 5th graders meet in our Mosaic room (located in the basement).  Our middle school kids (6-8th) gather in 
the rainbow room for lessons designed especially for them.

During our Sunday school year, many special events are planned to enhance 
our program and to help our children become closer to the Word of God.  For example, when a child is in 3rd grade, they receive a Bible from Riverside together with their parents.  To see some pictures of these special events,

Our Sunday school also plans family outings such as the Easter Egg hunt that was held in March 2002 and the visit to the Butterfly conservatory in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada in April of 2002.  Please check out our "outing" section periodically for upcoming outings or our "Events" calendar.
