provide fellowship to the women of the church. Monthly business meetings are held at 10:00AM on the second
Tuesday at the Church.
Schedule:
Our Bazaar workshops are held 10:00AM-12:00PM Tuesdays at the Church
and 1:00PM-3:00PM Wednesday at the Cattrall's house (471-80th
Street, Niagara Falls)
History:
In 1976 a group of women while folding our church's monthly reporter
felt a need for a women's group - a group that would be willing to
assist in the needs of our church, especially in the kitchen and dining
room areas. Thus began the Riverside Willing Workers, which
consisted of nine women. There had not been an organized women's
group since the Women's Association fifteen years previous. For
the financial aid that was necessary to make the much-needed
improvements the Snowflake Bazaar was started. The Snowflake
Bazaar consisted of a few booths displaying items for sale. The
Riverside Workers also prepared and served lunch and dinner.
What we are doing today:
The annual Snowflake Bazaar is still our main focus, which provides
us with finances and great fellowship that we have with each other.
Twice weekly workshops are held working on items for the Snowflake
Bazaar. We always welcome new members to our group. Each of us has
unique God given gifts to offer - we all have something of value to
contribute. (click on "Bazaar" above to see pictures

Remembering a dear friend:
Bette Ruopp provided the spark that gave life to the Riverside
Workers back in 1976. It was her drive and encouragement which
enabled them to make plans for a bazaar - the first to be held there in
over 15 years. She was chairman of the group for the first three
years and after that, she planned and supervised the bazaar meals for
several years and was an inspiration to all.
In Bette's memory, Dorothy Swick recently presented the church
with a beautiful water color she hand painted, depicting the Riverside
Workers hard at work on a bazaar. It will be hung in the dining
room where Bette spent so many productive hours.

Goals:
Everyone has a chance to share something to our Church and community.
We are all caregivers and we all need a caregiver. All of us enjoy
the many opportunities we have to help each other. Our goal is to serve
and respond to the needs of our Church and Community. May we
always work in harmony for God's glory.
