Purpose:  To provide vocal music for worship from September to June. 

Members:  Our Chancel Choir consists of approximately 16 adult members.

Rehearsal schedule:  Our Chancel Choir rehearses once a week on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9PM at the church from September to June.

Highlights of past years:
In past years, Choral participation has been and continues to be present in many special services including Christmas, Palm Sunday, Easter with the adult choir singing for both Worship services.  Many new challenging anthems are learned each year to augment their sacred music repertory.  

Volunteers reorganized, cataloged and archived all choir music and completed an anthem indexing system.  Several singers have performed solos and duets in addition to having musicians such as violists and harpist engaged to enhance the musical Worship at Riverside.  

In past years, we also had a Cherub Choir which consisted of our youngsters in kindergarten through 5th grade.  This choir gave many of our youngsters their first-time singing experiences.  They would sing for our congregation during our 11AM worship service periodically throughout the year. We are hoping to start up this choir again in the fall of 2002.
